Nurses vote to prevent suicide

RCN votes in favour of suicide prevention training

On 17 June 2014, Annessa Rebair pictured from the RCN North of Tyne Branch proposed the following the Royal College of Nurses 2014 Congress in Liverpool:

That this meeting of RCN Congress asks Council to influence higher education institutions to include suicide prevention across all fields of pre-registration nurse education

There was a good debate which touched many present given the emotional nature of the subject.


The resolution was passed. For: 99.6% (497) Against: 0.4% (2) Abstain: (10)
